Hannah brought the cake through airport security for us (funny story) so that we could have a wonderfully romantic anniversary (though she mocked us mercilessly for even wanting year old cake in the first place).
She also takes most of the credit for setting us up since we were both her best friends before we were each others.
We didn't get a bite of wedding cake either..but weren't smart enough to save a piece for such a later "occasion"! Maybe that's because it was home-made sheet cake (as opposed to a work-of-art like yours!) I also can't blame a shortage for our lack of anniversary cake. There were definitely leftovers - about eight sheets if I remember right...my mom stood at the door thanking everyone for coming and adding: "Would you like to take a cake?"
I wondered if Mary Graham cake would work like wine and only get better with age... I'm sort of disappointed with the world for crushing my hopes. lol. Ah well. While wedding cake may not become richer and more sweet with time, the marriage it celebrates does! Congratulations you two! A whole year and you still see stars in each others eyes and the world in each others smile. I couldn't have more inspirational siblings. You teach me what love is everyday. <3 I love you!
