How to make Pumpkin Pie

From a REAL pumpkin!!...



Start with a "cooking pumpkin" (who knew there was even such a thing?!)



Did you know that pumpkins float?!



And the things are ridiculously hard to cut! (Where's my husband?)



I've got mad blending skills... it's true.

Last step... bake and devour the delicious pie. (It was so good, we forgot to take a picture of it before we chowed down.) :D

That's really ambitious! I'm totally impressed. I've never even made one from canned pumpkin....

Alright, alright. I bow to your pumpkin pie skills, You showed me up, but mine still had pecans on top.

Just wait till I have a garden of my own. Then, I'll really make one from scratch- grown pumpkin and all! (And maybe I'll live in Texas with a pecan tree in my yard, too.) :D
